My Dog Heidi June 1999 - December 26 2009

After several months of contemplation, several seizures and visits to the veterinarian, the heartbreaking decision was made to put Heidi to sleep the day after Christmas. We waited as long as we could, but on Saterday the 26th after another seizure, I realized that the tumor behind her eye was only getting worse.

 It was almost like having one of your children pass away.

She loved to go camping, especially on the islands at Sebastian Inlet. And yes, we did let her sleep in our tent even when she was wet. She always slept with us. She was very social.

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving this year was a formal, black tie event and Ethan was dressed accordingly except for the Converse All Stars. I guess he was making a fashion statement. The kids these days.

As you can see, he was really excited and looking forward to the turkey, pumpkin pie and sweet potato mixed together in the blender.


Some day someone will invent eye drops for babies, like Visine, that will take the blue/gray out.
